Our Curriculum

我们的课程

Bilingual and Dual-track

Intensive English: Based on the Yilin Edition of English textbooks, we have introduced the Cambridge Super Minds English course to broaden our curriculum. We have also integrated specialized vocabulary learning materials and conducted intensive reading of English original works to expand vocabulary and strengthen listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. We emphasize student-led classrooms, focus on practical language application, and fully motivate students' initiative in autonomous learning.

Bilingual Extension: During compulsory education, we offer bilingual courses such as bilingual music, bilingual sports, bilingual art, and bilingual science, which are taught in English. These courses aim to broaden students' English foundation in multiple disciplines, enhance their cross-cultural and international understanding, and lay a linguistic foundation for students to choose a dual-channel education path in the future independently.

Comprehensive Humanities

Solidifying Chinese Language: We lay a solid foundation in the national language curriculum, cultivate core Chinese language literacy, and solidify students' abilities in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

School-based Integration: We have designed a series of school-based supplementary reading materials based on the Chinese language course. These materials integrate history, geography, art, music, and other disciplines, promoting interdisciplinary knowledge expansion and comprehensive ability training.

Classics of Chinese Studies: We have designed a weekly series of classes on classical Chinese literature, starting with introductory readings of the Sanzi Jing and Qianzi Wen. This series will guide students through Confucian classics, the works of various schools of thought, historical biographies, and poetry, connecting literature, history, and philosophy and immersing them in the profound cultural heritage of Chinese thought and culture.

Humanities Journey: Finally, through the Humanities Study Tour, we lead students out of the classroom into society and into practice. This cross-temporal and cross-spatial immersive learning experience elevates the knowledge accumulated from textbooks.

Integrated Cross-disciplinary Application of Science Subjects

Mathematics: We are transforming mathematics teaching by introducing real-life mathematical cases into the classroom to make it lively, engaging, and enjoyable for students. We have also compiled "Mathematics Learning Manuals" to teach students how to learn independently and master the art of learning mathematics. We are exploring project-based learning, starting from real-life examples, using mathematical concepts, knowledge, and methods to observe reality, raise questions, collect data, conduct field research, analyze problems, solve problems, and form reports. This approach aims to apply what students learn in practice, stimulate their internal motivation for learning mathematics, and ignite their innovative thinking.

We also bridge the national curriculum and IGCSE mathematics for senior grades based on different education directions.

Integrated Sciences: Besides fully implementing national science courses, MKBS offers school-based STEM bilingual science and technology courses.

Competitive Courses: Students with interests and unique talents are organized into various school teams to participate in mathematics, science, and technology competitions. It allows students to gain experience, develop their strengths, and form specializations through participation in various competitions.

Interest and Specialty Development

MKBS provides students with a wide range of art, sports, and extracurricular ECA/CCA (Extracurricular Activities/Co-Curricular Activities) courses.

Through a series of designs that range from diverse experiences, discovering interests, and professional enlightenment to specialty development, students can explore and ultimately find projects that they are interested in, proficient at, and can develop into their specialties from among dozens of courses in various categories such as indoor and outdoor sports, music, arts, science and technology, humanities, and more. This process involves multiple trial experiences to ensure students can identify their true passions and talents.
