Common Psychological Counseling Concerns
1. When should you seek psychological counseling?
Signs that may indicate the need for psychological counseling include, but are not limited to:
①Feeling unhappy or wanting to cry for more than half a month.
②Difficulty in learning, feeling hopeless.
③Loss of appetite or insomnia for more than a week.
④Having thoughts of harming oneself or being harmed by others.
⑤Difficulty in getting along with most people, lack of friends.
2. What to do when facing psychological issues?
If you encounter psychological issues, you can:
①Seek help from parents: Parents are the ones who care most about you. Telling them about your discomfort will allow them to offer advice or take you to a doctor.
②Seek help from teachers: Share your unhappiness with any teacher you trust. They will do their best to help you.
③Seek help from psychological teachers: When you feel unhappy, you can also come to psychological teachers! The teachers will listen carefully to your concerns and keep them confidential (unless you intend to harm yourself). They will help you find ways to cope with the issues.
3. What is group psychological counseling?
Group psychological counseling is a form of psychological assistance and guidance in a group setting. Through interpersonal interactions within the group, individuals can learn to observe, understand, and accept themselves. It also helps individuals adjust and improve their relationships, learn new attitudes and behaviors, and develop better skills in helping others and themselves. Group members will be recruited before conducting group psychological counseling activities, and students can sign up during the recruitment period.
